The Mentholatum
1360 Niagara Street
Buffalo, NY 14213

The Mentholatum, located at 1360 Niagara Street, is a vibrant example of a successful, historic building renovation in Buffalo. The Mentholatum building was originally designed by architect George Townsend and constructed in 1919. The turn-of-the-century daylight factory served as the Buffalo, NY base of operations for the Mentholatum Company until 1989. In 1997, the building was sold to the Garrett Leather Corporation, which occupied it until Ciminelli’s purchase was completed in 2016.

The 80,000 square foot residential building offers unique floor plans with 49, one and two bedroom apartments. Amenities include pet friendly units, in-unit washer and dryers, underground parking, a dog wash station, and views of the Niagara River. The building also offers 4,100 square feet of commercial space, which proposes an additional positive impact on the neighborhood. Join us Wednesday, March 21st to tour The Mentholatum and learn more about this unique renovation and more about re-development on the Niagara Street corridor!
