Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation Wins Prestigious Award
For Excellence In Building Management
Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation and Seavest Core Buffalo Conventus, announced that Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation has been awarded the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Outstanding Building of the Year Award (TOBY) for the Middle Atlantic Conference in the medical office category. The award was given in recognition of Ciminelli’s excellence in the facilities management of Conventus, located at 1001 Main Street in Buffalo, NY. Seavest Core Buffalo Conventus is the building owner.
BOMA’s annual TOBY award is the most prestigious and comprehensive award of its kind in the commercial real estate industry, recognizing quality in commercial buildings and rewarding excellence in building management. During the competition, all facets of a building's operations are thoroughly evaluated. Buildings are judged on everything from community involvement, tenant relations and site management to environmental and "green" policies and procedures.
Paul Ciminelli, President & CEO of Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation noted, “Buffalo hasn’t seen a TOBY Award win since the Guaranty Building won the Mid Atlantic regional award in 1986. Since that time, facilities management best practices have changed significantly but the basics of building care and monitoring, energy management, tenant communication, and community engagement remain the cornerstones of success in the industry. It’s an incredible honor for our team to be recognized for their attention to those details.”
BOMA members David Mumm, RPA,FMA, former BOMA president, Chris Keenan, and Andy Schwarts accepted the award of behalf of Ciminelli at BOMA’s annual awards reception in New York City on April 4th, 2019. As part of BOMA’s TOBY Awards program, The Conventus building and Ciminelli’s facilities management team are automatically entered into BOMA’s international TOBY Award program finals representing BOMA’s Middle Atlantic Conference. The final awards will be annouonced in June at the BOMA International Conference and Building Show in Salt Lake City.
