Safety First: Active Shooter Preparedness Training
Wednesday, March 25 Atrium @ 500 Seneca – 3rd Floor 11:30 AM - 4:30 PM
BOMA Greater Buffalo will launch the 2026 event season with a focused training on active shooter preparedness in commercial buildings.
Sponsored by GDI Integrated Systems and instructed by ProActive Response Group, this program is designed for property managers, engineers, tenant representatives, and service providers responsible for building safety.
Participants will learn how to recognize potential threats, respond during an incident, and strengthen building emergency preparedness plans.
Topics include:
• Threat recognition and behavioral warning signs • Immediate response strategies including Run–Hide–Fight • Coordination with law enforcement • Building-level emergency planning
The program includes two training sessions with networking and a social break between sessions.
BOMA Greater Buffalo is asking members to participate in a short Member Engagement Survey.
The purpose of this survey is to better understand:
• What types of programs members find most valuable • Which topics should be prioritized for future educational events • How members prefer to engage with BOMA programming and networking opportunities
The feedback will directly influence future programming, event planning, and membership initiatives.
Members are encouraged to take a few minutes to complete the survey.
